May 5, 2012: Presidential elections at the Consulat Général of France in Moncton

On May 5, 2012, French citizens were able to vote for the second step of the presidential elections taking place on May 6, 2012, in metropolitan France.

At 18:00, the ballots were counted by the scrutineers.

• Mr. Dauphin, Mr. Girardin and Mrs. Dugué counting the envelops.

  Dr. Chopin taking the ballots out of the envelops and enunciating the name of the candidate, while Mr. Dauphin and Mrs. Courregelongue observe.

• Mrs. Corregelongue counting the ballots and Mrs. Pakzad recording them.

  Mrs. Foulem, well-known painter (www.foulem.fr), signing on the envelop of a spoiled ballot.

 

      

The results for the electoral circumscription were as follows:
Mr. François Hollande   56.5 %
Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy       43.5 %

The final results for entire France were as follows:
Mr. François Hollande   51.62 %
Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy       48.38 %
